Two winners entries of Hamdan photography award under investigation

Dubai: Two winning entries from the inaugural Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA) are under investigation, Gulf News has learnt. Speaking to Gulf News, Sahar Al Zarei, Assistant Secretary General and Executive Director of HIPA said, "Though we verified the authenticity of the entries, it was only after the award ceremony [March 27] that we learnt that a few entries violate the terms and conditions. We are currently investigating two of the winning entries." Doubts were raised about a few of the winning photographs through social media channels, she said.
